Loving Wife, Mother, Sister, Grandmother & Great-Grandmother
Fay Goglia, 102, of Woodland Park, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, December 7th. Born in Hamburg, Germany, Fay was the daughter of the late Albert Martin and Manya (Suzgerzt) Buttkus, and lived in Ireland and England before coming to New Jersey 80 years ago. She was a WWII war bride and Holocaust survivor. She retired as a tailor – dress maker and was the owner of Fay’s Fashions in Nutley for 30 years. She was an avid knitter/crocheter who made infant hats and blankets for the homeless and hospitals for 28 years in Toms River. The beloved wife of the late Joseph Goglia, cherished mother of the late Martin Goglia and the late Theresa Tierney, and dear grandmother of the late Jonathan Vitaletti, Fay is survived by her loving daughter Mary Goglia-Vitaletti, three grandchildren Michelle, Robert, and Daniel, and four great-grandchildren. Our sympathy to Fay’s daughter, our parishioner Mary Goglia-Vitaletti, relatives and friends. May She Rest In Peace.
