Christmas Dinner and “Happy Birthday Jesus” Program

All Are Welcome to our annual Christmas Dinner and “Happy Birthday Jesus” Program presented by our School of Christian Living on Sunday, December 13th after 11AM Holy Mass (12:00 PM)

Dinner features Roasted Chicken / Tilapia with a mango sauce/chutney, Roasted Pork loin in a brown gravy, Corn, Broccoli Medley, Penne in a Vodka sauce, Haluszkie, Cake and Coffee, Tea

Santa Claus – (St. Nicholas) will be present.

“A Hawaiian Luau” Tricky Tray

“A Hawaiian Luau” Tricky Tray to benefit Holy Cross parish will be held on Friday, October 23rd at Amalgamated Meat Cutters, 245 Paterson Ave., Little Falls NJ 07424. Wear your best Hawaiian outfit to win a prize.

Doors Open at 6pm and drawings begin at 8pm. There will be about 100 Regular Trays – $35 plus, about 100 Super Trays – $50 plus, about 25 Grand Trays – over $100, and about 5 Platinum Trays-over $200, HDTV, Keurig Coffee Maker; Thanksgiving Dinner for 10; Coach Purse; Scratch Offs; and other great prizes, win our 50/50 raffles. Door prizes / Special gifts for kids.

Admission is $15 in advance payable to: Holy Cross Church, 220 Browertown Rd., Woodland PK, NJ 07424. Admission includes coffee / tea and an array of desserts & 26 regular prize chances. Purchase tickets in advance to receive an additional sheet of regular prize chances and save the additional $5 if purchased at the door. A Week of Baptisms

On Sunday July 19th our parish witnessed four baptisms – two cousins and two sisters:

Arianna Vyktory Ketter; daughter of Darius Ketter and Dayana (Cafa) and Gerard Cafa; son of Cliff Ghazaii and Concetta Cafa. Proud godparents were: Rosario Cafa and Concetta Cafa, Erick Moran and Angelica Moran.

Athena Melany Galindo and Viviana Bella Galindo, daughters of Fernando and Jennifer Galindo (Torres). Proud godparents were: Ferdinand Valentin, Bertha Krapukaitis, Steven Pomales and Jacqueline Monroe.

On Saturday July 25th two cousins were baptized:

Romeo Uriel Echevarria, son of Jessica Martinez and Isaac Echevarria and Natalya Selena Lopez, daughter of Elvys J. Lopez and Mayra Sarabia. Proud godparents were: Melvys Lopez, Carolina Lopez, Elvys Lopez and Mayra Sarabia.

Holy Tuesday, March 31st, Central Diocese Clergy Conference at 10am and Holy Mass of Chrism at 4pm at St. Stanislaus Cathedral Scranton, PA

Holy Wednesday, April 1st, Sacrament of Penance/General and Private Confessions at 7:15pm

Maundy Thursday, April 2nd, Holy Mass/Liturgy of the Lord’s Supper at 7:15pm

Good Friday, April 3rd:

  • Stations of the Cross with children and youth participation at 3pm
  • Liturgy of the Presanctified at 4:15pm
  • Adoration until 6:30pm

Holy Saturday, April 4th

  • Blessing of Easter Food at 4pm
  • Easter Vigil Liturgy at 6pm
  • Blessing of Easter Baskets following Holy Mass

Solemnity of the Resurrection, April 5th

  • Easter Procession and Holy Mass at 9am

St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon

Holy Cross’ annual St. Patrick’s Day Luncheon will be held on Sunday, March 15th at 12 PM (after 11 AM Holy Mass). The Luncheon will feature Corned Beef, Cabbage, Irish Red Potatoes, Baked Chicken, Variety of Vegetables, Assorted Breads Irish Soda Bread, Coffee/Tea, Irish Coffee, and Homemade Desserts. We will have Irish Music and raffles for a Basket of Irish Cheer, Door Prizes, and a 50/50 Raffle as well.

Adult tickets are $15. Children and youth are free. R.S.V.P by March 10th to (973) 256-4888. Buy tickets at the church or send your ticket donation to the parish by mail.
