School of Christian Living (SOCL) attendance awards were given Sunday, June 20th at 11 am Holy Mass.
Perfect attendance awards were presented to Veronika Murphy, Viviana Galindo, and Jasmine Bradbury; Good attendance awards to Nicholas Gizzi, and a Participation award to David Rodriguez. We thank Mr. Paul Murphy and Ms. Natalie Lazar for teaching our students. WE look forward to the new SOCL school year beginning September 12th.

We congratulate Stephanie T. and Brianna G. on their First Holy Communion which was celebrated on Sunday, July 12th. May the presence of Jesus in their hearts give them constant assurance of God’s love and blessings. We express our congratulations to their parents, family members, and friends. We thank teacher, Ms Mary V. for her help in providing First Holy Communion classes along with Fr. Joseph. Stephanie and Brianna, as well as for other three students, are celebrating their First Communion over several Sundays so we may properly follow pandemic restrictions.

We congratulate Jylixa Lopez who received Holy Eucharist for the first time on Sunday, June 28th. Julixa was baptized in the parish and is a faithful youth of the parish. We express our congratulations to her parents, relatives and friends.

On Sunday, September 15th at 11 am Holy Mass the Sacrament Of Confirmation was administered by Rt. Rev. Bernard Nowicki, Bishop of the Central Diocese of PNCC. The candidates below were confirmed and their sponsors participated in the ceremony along with family members and friends. After the Mass the reception took place in the parish hall. We congratulate all new Confirmands and we wish them that they will use the gifts of the Holy Spirit in their daily lives as well as for the well-being of our Holy Cross Church – Fr. May Crowning 2019
The annual Crowning of the Blessed Virgin Mary by our School of Christian Living students took place on Sunday, May 5th. Thank you for honoring our Blessed Mother in such a special way.
Annual Christmas Dinner
On Sunday, December 9th, dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed a Christmas carol sing-a-long with children from our Sunday School. We thank all those who came for this event, especially parents for bringing their children. We had fun, shared a great menu which was prepared by Deacon David and his helpers. We thank Jessica Muccilli, our organist for the music arrangement and accompaniment. Because the children of Holy Cross are very special, Santa Claus came and gave them goodies asking them to listen and help their parents and behave well. Merry Christmas to all!

Cleaning, Painting, Updating
On Wednesday, September 5th, Oxymagic cleaned the carpet in the church and in the church office as well as rugs in the hall. We thank the Adoration Society from our parish for their support to cover the expense. Oxymagic is highly recommended for their high quality service.
We thank Edward Obssuth and George O’Brien who, with the help of Fr. Joseph, dedicated their time and talent in paining the new railing in the front of Sunday School building on Saturday, September 8th.
