Honoring Veterans

On Veterans Day, November 11th, a new electric wheelchair was delivered by Fr. Joseph to St. Joseph’s Home in Totowa NJ. There are several veterans living in the nursing home run by the Little Sisters of the Poor. The wheelchair was originally donated by Rev. Dr. Stanley Jasiurkowski, Lieutenant Colonel serving as a chaplain at the National Guard Armory, Dover, New Jersey.

Homelessness Outreach

On Sunday, December 1st, parishioners and the youth of the School of Christian Living collected winter coats, sweaters, gloves, scarves, blankets, hats, and other items for the homeless in Paterson, NJ. Sandwiches were prepared in the parish hall by youth and parents. The weather did not deter our plans.

A dozen or more homeless were found on the streets of Paterson who gladly accepted our donations that helped them to be fed and warm this winter. The remaining items were delivered to Eva’s Village and Eva’s Shelter.
