On Sunday December 13th the parish hosted its annual Christmas Dinner. The children of School of Christian Living presented a program called “A Birthday Party for Jesus.” Saint Nicholas (Santa) visited the parish giving gifts to all children. Fourteen (14) Thanksgiving baskets filled with non perishable food items and $25 Shop Rite gift cards were donated by Holy Cross Church, Woodland Park, NJ and delivered to to Passaic Valley Regional High School serving Woodland Park, Totowa and Little Falls. A truly blessed and happy Thanksgiving!

On Sunday November 22, 2015, the Church celebrated the Solemnity of Christ the King. Our Holy Cross parish welcomed a new member through the Sacrament of Baptism administered to Maximus Liam Santos, son of William Santos and Samantha (nee Gonzalez). Proud godparents were Elias Feliz and Beverly Montes. We congratulate parents, godparents, family members, relatives and friends on this special occasion. The Sacrament of Baptism is the birth into the new life in Christ. Maximus became the member of the Christian family, a living stone of the Church which is the mystical body of our risen Lord, Jesus Christ.

Thank you to Mrs. Donna Maher, Ms. Rosa Llanos, our School of Christian Living teachers present for and all parents who brought their children for our Halloween Party plus anyone who made this event an enjoyable occasion. Donna M. donated pumpkins, Claire C. donated goodie bags. The children painted pumpkins, played the bean boozle game, participated in musical chairs. All in attendance chose the most original, prettiest and “coolest” costumes. All were winners by receiving trick or treat goodie bags. It was an enjoyable time!

The PNCC Youth Camp – “Kurs” was held at Bishop Hodur Retreat and Recreation Center in Waymart, PA from July 4th through 11th. This year’s theme was “Take a Chance on God.” Our youth analyzed people in scripture and history who, at one point in their lives, went out of their comfort zone and took a chance on God.
Campers are provided with 7 days of camp including all room, board, and activities. They participated in team building and leadership activities and built lifelong friendships. The campers were under the leadership of the Kurs counselors who were all campers themselves once and wanted to make each child’s experience as memorable and enjoyable as possible. It is their hard work and dedication that made the Kurs experience possible.
It was a great event as per participants!!!
