Well done SOCL students
Today 4 students: Natalie Cyman, Kimberly Matute, Cindy Matute, and Kenneth Hofmann received perfect SOCL attendance awards and certificates.
Also, 13 students: Lina Abdelfattah, Omar Abdelfattah, Michael Cyman, Nicholas Desch, Declan Maher, Gianni Maher, Nayef Kiame, Ned Kiame, Neil Kiame, Aubrey Santos, Jessie Santos, Daniel Reyes, and Emily Reyes received good SOCL attendance awards and certificates after 11 am Holy Mass. It was enjoyable and special occasion!
We congratulate all children and thank teachers Mrs. Claire Centrella, Mrs. Jamie Santos and Mrs. Donna Fabricatore for their dedication for the good of our youth. We thank parents for their support and involvement in SOCL program. We look forward to begin SOCL classes on Sunday September 8th. Join this friendly and joyful group of students.

Flea Market With Outside Vendors June 1st
Holy Cross Church will hold its annual Flea Market With Outside Vendors on Saturday, June 1st from 9 AM to 4 PM featuring home goods, antiques, toys, and many other items.
Vendors interested in tables should contact Elaine at 973-838-4246 or Penni at 973-768-7917. Tables are $20.

Easter Egg Hunt and Party
On Sunday April 7th the children of the parish from youngest to oldest enjoyed our annual Easter Egg Hunt. The weather was great. The Easter Party followed in the parish hall while the older children had preparation for the Sacrament of Confirmation. We thank Mrs. Claire Centrella, Mrs. Jamie Santos and Mrs. Donna Fabricatore, and our School of Christian Living teachers for their work preparing and organizing this event. Also we thank Mrs. Renata Cyman for helping set up the hall and the surprises for our children. We hope that all participants and their parents had a great time.

Blessing of the Easter Baskets
The annual Blessing of the Easter Baskets took place on Holy Saturday, March 30th. The baskets brought to the church contained meat symbolizing the sacrifice of Jesus; bread symbolizing manna from the Old Testament as well as the Holy Eucharist; eggs symbolizing resurrection and rebirth; and other food and items such as candies, horseradish, butter, and wine.

Flowers provided to One Care Assisted Living Residents
The Stewardship Committee, along with the students of School of Christian Living prepared 55 plants for Easter to be given to those in Assisted Living at “Care One” in Wayne. The students decorated the pots and potted beautiful pansies which were brought to Care One by Father Joseph, Renata and Natalie. Easter is a time of renewal and celebration and we are happy to share this with those homebound at “Care One”.

Fish N Chips Dinner Thank You
On Friday, March 22nd we hosted a Fish ‘N Chips Dinner that was enjoyed by almost 70 adults and children. The delicious menu of Manhattan Clam Chowder, Fresh Rolls and Butter, Salads and Coleslaw, Fish and Chips, Chicken Fingers, Coffee with Assorted Desserts was provided by Hughie Vickerilla who with the help of Bob Sleece. They did a super job. We thank those who served the dinner: Michael Cyman, Martha Kochanowski, Debby Lenkel and Lynn Imperiale and all who helped Hughie and Bob cleaning after the event. Tricky Tray gifts were donated by Claire Centrella and Merry Sleece. We thank them for their generosity. The parish hall was decorated by Renata Cyman and Claire Centrella. We thank all those who came and supported this event.

Congratulation to one of the newest members of the Body of Christ, Zoe Nicole Figuereo, daughter of Frank Figuereo and Brenda Nin. Zoe was regenerated in the waters of baptism on March 16th. Her godparents were: Orlando Avendano and Vanessa Rios. Congratulation!
