On Sunday, September 22nd a food drive to benefit the Father English Food Pantry will take place. All parishioners are asked to bring a bag of groceries to church on this day. Won’t you help the needy in the name of Christ the Savior? “Whatever you do to the least of my brothers, you have done it to me.” (Matthew 25:40).
On August 11th we held a Pampered Chef party and fundraiser. Our chefs were Claire Centrella and Leslie DeMaio. Everyone enjoyed Bruschetta Pasta, Garlic Knots and Molten Chocolate Cake made in front of our eyes all by our chefs. There were about 15 people who attended and the total of product orders was $440.00 with 2 additional cooking parties scheduled… Donna Fabricatore on October 12th and Holy Cross Church on October 6th. The church received nearly $60 from the fundraiser and we expect to have another one on October 6th after the 11AM Holy Mass. Thank you to all who attended and worded on this event. On Tuesday, August 6th, our parish provided a table at the Woodland Park National Night Out. Great weather and a great cause drew many community members to raise awareness, generate support for anti-crime programs, and enhance community-police relationships. Food, Rides, Games, DJ, demonstrations and giveaways were part of the event. We thank our parishioner Christine Murphy, member of Woodland Park Municipal Alliance, for being a liaison for our parish’s participation. Also we thank Claire Centrella, Dominick Bucci, Malissa Betancur, Renata, Michael and Natalie Cyman who were helping to collect nonperishable food items and distributed flyers for our upcoming social events. On the table the church’s sign was displayed along with an indication – Food Drive for the Fr. English Food Pantry. The food items were donated by our parishioners and other people. Four large boxes were collected. On Thursday these items along with another eight bags collected earlier in the parish hall, three boxes of clothing and one box of books, were donated to the Fr. English Food Pantry. On behalf of the needy, we thank each and everyone who helped or donated for this noble cause.

On Friday, March 22nd we hosted a Fish ‘N Chips Dinner that was enjoyed by almost 70 adults and children. The delicious menu of Manhattan Clam Chowder, Fresh Rolls and Butter, Salads and Coleslaw, Fish and Chips, Chicken Fingers, Coffee with Assorted Desserts was provided by Hughie Vickerilla who with the help of Bob Sleece. They did a super job. We thank those who served the dinner: Michael Cyman, Martha Kochanowski, Debby Lenkel and Lynn Imperiale and all who helped Hughie and Bob cleaning after the event. Tricky Tray gifts were donated by Claire Centrella and Merry Sleece. We thank them for their generosity. The parish hall was decorated by Renata Cyman and Claire Centrella. We thank all those who came and supported this event.

We will hold our Lenten Fish & Chips dinner on Friday, March 22nd from 6-8pm. The menu includes Manhattan Clam Chowder, Fresh Rolls and Butter, Salads and Coleslaw, Fish & Chips, Chicken Fingers (must be pre-ordered), Coffee & Tea, and Assorted Desserts. Children’s dinners include fish sticks and mac & cheese.

Today, November 4, 2012 our Parish Committee will have a special meeting at 10 am to discuss what we will do as a parish to help the victims of devastating Hurricane Sandy. We will have special prayers during both Masses 9 am and 11 am for all who were affected by this terrible tragedy.
Our church and residence were not damaged and the residents of Woodland Park have had power restored since Tuesday evening.
If you need assistance you can use our parish hall to charge cell phones and warm yourself up and get food. Call the parish office 973-256-4888.
Little Falls & Woodland Park, NJ are using the Little Falls Civic Center for food donations – both need volunteers to deliver donations as well as donations. Please call 973-890-4520 if you can help. They can offer more information at the same number if anyone needs help.
