Parish picnic

A big thank you all those parishioners who made our parish picnic last Sunday a success. We thank those who brought delicious dishes, desserts, prizes for children, baked food, and cleaned up after the event. We say heartfelt thank you and God bless you for sharing time and talents for the good of the parish.

Well done SOCL students

Today 4 students: Natalie Cyman, Kimberly Matute, Cindy Matute, and Kenneth Hofmann received perfect SOCL attendance awards and certificates.

Also, 13 students: Lina Abdelfattah, Omar Abdelfattah, Michael Cyman, Nicholas Desch, Declan Maher, Gianni Maher, Nayef Kiame, Ned Kiame, Neil Kiame, Aubrey Santos, Jessie Santos, Daniel Reyes, and Emily Reyes received good SOCL attendance awards and certificates after 11 am Holy Mass. It was enjoyable and special occasion!

We congratulate all children and thank teachers Mrs. Claire Centrella, Mrs. Jamie Santos and Mrs. Donna Fabricatore for their dedication for the good of our youth. We thank parents for their support and involvement in SOCL program. We look forward to begin SOCL classes on Sunday September 8th. Join this friendly and joyful group of students.

Coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary

On the first Sunday of May the coronation of the Blessed Virgin Mary took place after both Holy Masses.

Those who participated in the procession with the crowned statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary at 9 am Mass were Deacon Bill Gaydos, Kenneth Hofmann, Kimberly and Cindy Matute, Nayef and Ned Kiame.

Congratulations Louis and Wanda

Mr. & Mrs. Louis Gec, members of our parish, celebrated their 71st Wedding Anniversary on February 15th. They have been residents of Clifton for many years after leaving Utica, NY due to business opportunities. Louis was a well-known dog breeder for many years. His wife is Wanda nee Seidziak. Both Louis and Wanda were involved with church activities and fundraisers such as picnics and making pierogies.

The Parish Committee and Holy Cross Church congratulate the Gec’s and wish them many more healthy and happy years together. Sto lat!!!

Fish N Chips Dinner Thank You

On Friday, March 22nd we hosted a Fish ‘N Chips Dinner that was enjoyed by almost 70 adults and children. The delicious menu of Manhattan Clam Chowder, Fresh Rolls and Butter, Salads and Coleslaw, Fish and Chips, Chicken Fingers, Coffee with Assorted Desserts was provided by Hughie Vickerilla who with the help of Bob Sleece. They did a super job. We thank those who served the dinner: Michael Cyman, Martha Kochanowski, Debby Lenkel and Lynn Imperiale and all who helped Hughie and Bob cleaning after the event. Tricky Tray gifts were donated by Claire Centrella and Merry Sleece. We thank them for their generosity. The parish hall was decorated by Renata Cyman and Claire Centrella. We thank all those who came and supported this event.
