We congratulate Adriana’s parents, godparents, relatives and friends on this special occasion. The Sacrament of Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit and door which gives access to the other sacraments. It incorporates us into the Christian Family.

God bless David and Jessica

We congratulate and pray for David Wei-Ying Yip and Jessica Natalie Gesualdi who received the Sacrament of Matrimony on Saturday, August 20th. Arthur Yip was the Best Man; Jennifer Gesualdi was the Maid of Honor. We also congratulate, parents, family members, relatives and friends.

Marriage is a sacrament which makes a Christian man and woman – husband and wife, gives them the grace to be faithful to each other and to bring up their children in love and devotion to God. The sacrament of Marriage is the image of the unconditional love of Jesus toward his Church. He showed us His love till the end. His love included compassion and forgiveness. Marriage is a package, first of a great happiness, support, understanding, but also time and moments of overlooking others differences and consequently moments of understanding and forgiveness.

A special thank you to the lectors who read the Holy Scriptures and our organist, Neil Estasnislao, who beautified the liturgy.

First Holy Communion Celebration

We congratulate the following students who received the Holy Eucharist for the first time on Sunday May 15, 2016 at 11 am Mass: Rian Babaran, Rash Babaran, Jaydin Correa, Jeremiah Espinal, Jayden Estacio, Athena Galindo,Nicholas Gizzi, Gabriel Iudici Flax, Aida Llanos, Kaylanie Noriega, Kianni Noriega, Julia Palman, Joshua Rivera, Valerie Vance and Aedan Vance. We thank their parents for their involvement in the preparation for First Holy Communion and for their donation of beautiful sanctuary flowers and their generosity toward the church. We thank the Adoration Society who prepared fruit punch and fruit salad for the children. It was a great time to have classes with such talented students. They read the prayers of the faithful, brought the offertory gifts of bread, wine, water and certificates. Some of the children are serving as altar servers on Sunday at the Mass. Other students are preparing also for the Sacrament of Confirmation with the other candidates. It was a great joy for the parish and to me to witness this event as we celebrate 90 years of service for the Community of Woodland Park and beyond. God bless you all.

The Holy Eucharist is Jesus Christ who is really present under the forms of bread and wine. In the Eucharist, Jesus Christ gives us Himself as a food for our souls. The bread and wine becomes the Body and Blood of our Lord during the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass when the priest says words of consecration which Jesus used during the Last Supper: This is My Body. This is My Blood. (Catechism of the PNCC).
