The parish collected $375 as well as some toys and other items. The children selected items from a wish list and made get well cards. These items are for Pediatric Patients at Morristown Medical Center, Morristown NJ; Job well done. Thank you!!!
We wish to thank Ms. Natalie Lazar and Mr. Paul Murphy for their service as teachers in our parish, sharing their time and great talents for the spiritual benefits of our children. We thank all parents who bring their children to church and School of Christian Living classes.
This year the following students were eligible to receive awards: Nicholas G., William E., Veronica M., Emma G. and Julia G. (received certificates last Sunday. Student, Valentine H. received her certificate at 9 am; other students will receive awards when they come to church at a later date – Jayden C., Tracey C. Daymar O., Jace H., Cataleya P. and Julian R.
After summer, Sunday School will begin on Sunday, September 8th. We wish all children a safe and enjoyable summer as we continue our journey with Jesus in church.
Our annual Nativity Pageant took place during our Christmas Eve Holy Mass with youth participation. The children dressed in costumes to portray the Nativity: Mary, Joseph, Angles, Shepherds, Kings, and a Little Lamb. Families and friends enjoyed the Mass with beautiful Christmas music in the beautifully decorated church sanctuary and altar. We would like to thank the youth who participated in this annual special event and their parents who supported this activity, bringing children for practices. On Sunday, June 18th (on Father’s Day) we presented awards to youth who were involved and participated in Sunday School Classes and different projects. We thank teachers Mr. Paul Murphy and Ms. Natalie Lazar for their dedication to teach our children Sunday School lessons. Our dear youth helped the parish with preparations of Thanksgiving baskets, Christmas gifts for the elderly, and flowers for Veterans. They made beautiful gifts for Mothers and Fathers. They prayed during classes, read and studied Sunday School materials discovering the basics of our Christian faith and Christian values. We thank parents for their involvement and support. Sunday School classes will resume on Sunday, September 10th at 11 am. Here are names of youth who received awards:

We wish to thank our Sunday School teachers, Ms. Natalie Lazar and Mr. Paul Murphy for their time, dedication, and for sharing their teaching talents to the benefit of our children. In the last school year, children prepared Thanksgiving baskets, participated in the trip to feed the homeless in Paterson, prepared gifts for the elderly in Totowa, made post cards, prepared gifts for mothers and fathers, served as altar servers during our Holy Masses, and served as lectors. We are grateful for their participation in these and other activities. We especially wish to thank parents and guardians for their support and involvement.

30 Christmas poinsettias and 30 baskets were delivered on Wednesday, December 8th to thirty residents living at Hinchliffe Manor, Paterson NJ. We thank Sunday School teachers Ms. Natalie and Mr. Paul for organizing this project, children who made personal ornaments, prepared Christmas cards, assembled baskets, and parents who supported this project for the benefit of the elderly. Job well done!
On Wednesday, December 1st a group of Sunday School children with their teachers prepared gifts for elders living in Paterson, New Jersey. We thank them and their parents for their support. Our young people enjoyed a pizza party as well. Great job and service in the name of Jesus.
On Sunday, December 9th, dozens of parishioners attended our annual Christmas Dinner. The children and all attendees enjoyed a Christmas carol sing-a-long with children from our Sunday School. We thank all those who came for this event, especially parents for bringing their children. We had fun, shared a great menu which was prepared by Deacon David and his helpers. We thank Jessica Muccilli, our organist for the music arrangement and accompaniment. Because the children of Holy Cross are very special, Santa Claus came and gave them goodies asking them to listen and help their parents and behave well. Merry Christmas to all!
On Wednesday, September 5th, Oxymagic cleaned the carpet in the church and in the church office as well as rugs in the hall. We thank the Adoration Society from our parish for their support to cover the expense. Oxymagic is highly recommended for their high quality service.
We thank Edward Obssuth and George O’Brien who, with the help of Fr. Joseph, dedicated their time and talent in paining the new railing in the front of Sunday School building on Saturday, September 8th.
